Superintendent Jessica Williams recognized the Hiram E. Mann Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. Members of the Hiram E. Mann Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. along with Boeing Corporation. These distinguished men and women offer mentoring and coaching as they share the Dream Learner program. They give a small presentation on the history of the Tuskegee Airmen & the time they spent in Walterboro training. The Hiram E. Mann Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. is trying to get into all community areas to be able to share their legacy.





On May 21, 2024 Superintendent Jessica Williams recognized the 2023-2024 CCSD Rookie Teachersof the Year . The District Rookie Teacher of the Year is : Miss Taylor Fussell -Forest Hills Elementary.


Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the Colleton County School Board's Regular Board Meeting, Support Staff of the Year from all schools were recognized by Superintendent Jessica Williams with the assistance of Assistant Superintendent of Academics & Student Affairs Sharon Baddick. A brief reception was held prior to the meeting. Support Staff of The Year are: Andrea Brown-BES; Michelle Shider-BSECC; Tamarah Johnson-CES; Jocelyn McNeil-CCMS; Jarvis Pruitt-CCHS; Violet Baptiste-FHE; Connie Snipes-HES; Barbara Harley-NES; Reginald Hassell-TCTC; Brenda Harvey; Raymond Hodges; Christopher Colleton-Buildings & Grounds; Sharrill Middleton-DO; & BJ Humphries-Technology.

Taylor Fussell-FHE was named District Rookie Teacher of the Year.









Bells Elementary D.A.R.E. Graduation was held Wednesday, 22 of May, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. Mrs. A. Cook & Mrs. Frasier's 5th grade students successfully completed the 10 week course under the guidance of Lt. R. Valentine. Each child was recognized with a certificate, handshake with Sherriff Buddy Hill, and a small gift. After the ceremony everyone was treated to cake & juice.











May 14, 2024 was a day of celebration for CCSD's school nurses. MUSC/Boeing Wellness Center Awards were presented the district a check for $9250 for our school nurses' hard work. CCHS received $1000 & BES received $1000 for the Rising Star Award. a drop in was held to celebrate.

The district received a check for $9250 for our school nurses' hard work throughout the year. CCHS received an additional $1000 & Bells Elementary received $1000 for the Rising Star Award. The nurses were honored at a celebration drop in after the awards ceremony.

May Student Celebrations held May 14, 2024 @ the "COW" Board Meeting recognized Senior athletes that signed to play collegiate sports, Superintendent Student of the Month , CCMS students that finished 1st & 2nd place in the SC Stock Market Game., & Band of Blue Student Leaders.





May Student Celebrations were held May 14, 2024 @ the "COW" Board Meeting. Senior athletes that signed to play collegiate sports were recognized. May Superintendent Student of the Month were recognized. CCMS had several students finish 1st & 2nd place in the SC Stock Market Game. Band of Blue Student Leaders & Band instructors were also recognized for their outstanding performances in many events.





A group of CCHS Seniors marched to the Statehouse on Tuesday, April 7, 2024 for College and Career Decision Day. They had an amazing experience with their college representatives. They networked with other Seniors from across the State. They received Senior Class recognition. They experienced the College and Industry Fair, heard from legislators, and much more. They even ran into some former CCHS students that are now college graduates who work for the colleges.

There have been slight adjustments to the end-of-year schedule for all schools within the district. Please see the attached images for complete details.



The Band of Blue will be having their annual car wash on Saturday, May 4th, and Saturday, May 11th! It will be $5 per car, but further donations will also be accepted. All funds will go towards the band's general costs next fall.


This is a special shout-out to our 5th grade students from BES, FHE, HES, & NES! The 2nd Annual Kickball Tournament was a blast, and we could not be more proud of how our 5th graders represented each school! Congratulations to Bells Elementary for winning the tournament for the second year in a row!


It's that time of the year once again! South Carolina College and Career Ready Assessments (SCREADY) begin today for grades 3-5. A complete testing schedule for all grade-levels can be found on the attached image. Good luck to all of our amazing students!
