The Colleton County School District is proud to announce the 2025–2026 District Rookie Teacher of the Year: Angelee Beecher-Whyte, an outstanding educator at Forest Hills Elementary School. The announcement was made during the district’s annual convocation held on Friday, August 1, 2025.
Each spring, every school in the district selects one exemplary educator as its Rookie Teacher of the Year. These school-level honorees were recognized at the May 20, 2025, Colleton County School Board meeting. During that celebration, the Office of Human Resources also named the three district-level finalists.
Following a comprehensive selection process, the district’s Department of Human Resources, along with a committee of educational professionals, selected Angelee Beecher-Whyte as the top educator for the 2025–2026 academic year.
