The Department of Information Technology provides the resources and support necessary to safely and effectively use technology to prepare every student to graduate with a 21st century education to be globally competitive for their chosen college and/or career path.
Schools and offices are provided with reliable and secure infrastructures consisting of servers, routers, switches, internet circuits, firewall, filtering software, phone services, backup solutions and data center. Infrastructure includes every aspect of providing network and internet access to the end user.
With centralized technology purchasing by the Department of Information Technology the district is able to ensure resources and technology equity among all schools with equipment standardized across the district.
The district's IT staff provides all aspects of technology planning, implementation, infrastructure, equipment for staff, 1 to 1 Chromebooks for students, equipment repairs, communication systems including district-wide phone system and school paging systems, school safety systems, district software programs, and many additional services.
