Director of Teaching and Learning
The Director of Teaching and Learning provides strategic leadership for K–12 curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning across Colleton County School District. This role collaborates with school and district leaders to support high-quality teaching, strengthen student achievement, and ensure the successful implementation of district initiatives from early childhood through high school. The Director oversees curriculum development, instructional support, assessment practices, professional learning, early learning programs, summer learning opportunities, and continuous improvement efforts while guiding the work of instructional specialists and school leadership teams. Through data-driven decision-making, strategic planning, and instructional leadership, the Director of Teaching and Learning helps ensure that all students have access to rigorous, engaging, and effective learning experiences that prepare them for college, careers, and life.
