Mrs. Florrie Edwards has served in a variety of educational roles within the Colleton County School District, including Assistant Principal, Summer Programs Director, Reading Coach, Reading Interventionist, Literacy Coach, and Elementary School Teacher. In each of these roles, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to student achievement by leading professional learning communities, supporting data-driven instruction, and coaching educators to enhance instructional practices across all grade levels.

Mrs. Edwards holds an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Capella University and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from South Carolina State University. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from South Carolina State University. A proud graduate of Walterboro High School, Mrs. Edwards brings both professional expertise and deep local roots to her work in education.

The Colleton County School District is elated to welcome Mrs. Florrie Edwards as the new Principal of Hendersonville Elementary School, and we look forward to the leadership, passion, and dedication she will bring to our students and community.
