J. Simpson

Colleton County School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Justin S. Simpson as the new Director of Buildings and Grounds. Mr. Simpson graduated from the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania located in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. Mr. Simpson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position, with a strong background in facilities management and capital projects. 

He previously served as a Capital Projects Officer for Charleston County School District and has over seven years of experience as a Director of Facilities and Athletics across multiple school districts. His leadership and expertise span a variety of critical areas, including Capital Projects Officer, Athletic Director, Director of Facilities and Maintenance, and Grounds Supervisor, as well as Landscaping Crew Leader and Maintenance Director. 

 He exudes excellent collaboration skills  with diverse stakeholders, including students, staff, administrators, architects, engineers, contractors, community members, booster groups, and vendors.  He has experience in the development and supervision of short and long term capital improvement plans to include all phases of design and construction for district-wide capital improvement projects, with a strong focus on community engagement and communication.

The Colleton County School District is excited to welcome Mr. Simpson and looks forward to his leadership in maintaining and enhancing our district’s facilities.
