The mission of Colleton County School District's Office of Assessment and Accountability is to build capacity of all staff members in the use of assessment data to improve the teaching and learning throughout the district.
The Office of Assessment and Accountability provides data and related interpretations to school and district leaders for the purpose of informing and guiding the decision making process.
The Office of Assessment and Accountability is responsible for:
- Providing teachers and leadership teams with quality information to guide instruction;
- Provide training and support for the use of assessment data;
- Monitoring the progress of key performance indicators and district-wide improvement efforts;
- Ensuring the integrity of our assessment systems;
- Data analysis, reporting and dissemination of state-wide and local assessments;
- Supporting the implementation of South Carolina Academic Standards;
- Supporting the administration of all local and state assessments;
- Supporting the development and implementation of local formative assessment.
