Office of Operations and Student Nutrition

Welcome to the Office of Operations and Student Nutrition! Our office collaborates with Directors of the following departments: the Office of Buildings and Grounds, the Office of  Student Transportation, and the Office of Student Nutrition, in order to support the mission, vision, and goals of the Colleton County School District. The Office works diligently to provide support to all of the schools and departments in all areas related to the day to day  operations of the district.

The Department of Buildings and Grounds works to ensure that all district buildings provide environments that are clean and safe in order to promote a positive learning environment.   The department ensures that all systems such as the mechanical, electrical and water systems function efficiently.

The Department of Student Transportation's focus is to provide safe, reliable, and on-time transportation so our students arrive ready to learn. Our primary aim is to make certain that we meet these needs on a daily basis and provide school activity based support transportation when requested

The Student Nutrition Department serves 9 schools in the district, and prepares approximately 6500 meals per day, including breakfast and lunch.

We also offer "smart snacks" for all after-school programs.  We operate under the Community Eligibility Programs (CEP) which allows all students to eat at no cost.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality, nutritious school meals for our students according to strict USDA guidelines to ensure all students achieve at high levels while promoting healthy lifestyles.
