Colleton County High School students enrolled in a gateway course that awards units of credit in English/language arts, mathematics, science and social studies will be participating in South Carolina’s End-of-Course Examination Program (EOCEP) assessment program. These exams are end-of-course tests given at the end of the semester or the end of the year. In accordance with state law, the EOCEP examination scores count 20 percent in the calculation of the student’s final grade for these courses. Defined gateway courses currently include Algebra 1, Intermediate Algebra, Biology 1, English 2, and the United States History and the Constitution.

The testing schedule can be found in the chart below:
Date | Exam
December 13, 2022 | English 2 Writing Exam
January 9, 2023 | First Block Exam
January 10, 2023 | Second Block Exam
January 11, 2023 | Third Block Exam
January 12, 2023 | Fourth Block Exam

Parents will need to refer to their child’s schedule to determine which day he/she will be participating in one of these exams. If you have any questions, you may call Mrs. Tracy McDonald, Coordinator of Assessment of Accountability, or Mrs. Lauren Townsend, Colleton County High School Assistant Principal.
