Walterboro-Colleton Chamber of Commerce is collaborating with Colleton County School District - CCSD to bring Operation Cougar Nation forward. This effort is to help address disciplinary issues in our schools and will be focused on reducing the number of infractions at Colleton County High School. Our efforts will be aimed at helping teachers spend more time in the classroom teaching and through our acts, we will be able to minimize level 1 and level 2 offenses. The objective is to be a positive influence on students while building a good rapport and to be a helping hand for CCSD.

Colleton County High School students enrolled in a gateway course that awards units of credit in English/language arts, mathematics, science and social studies will be participating in South Carolina’s End-of-Course Examination Program (EOCEP) assessment program. These exams are end-of-course tests given at the end of the semester or the end of the year.

Colleton County School District officially released its updated ESSER III Spending Plan Monday, November 21, 2022. This plan was created with input from district/school taskforces and our community, as required by federal governmental mandates.

Colleton County School District will hold community meetings at multiple locations in September, November and December in order to discuss our modified calendar, additional learning opportunities for students, and our updated promotion/ retention/acceleration policy.
