Short Range Planning refers to a teacher's ability to select and organize instructional objectives, strategies, activities and assessment procedures for the upcoming week or unit of instruction.

Teachers are required to complete short-range plans that meet the requirements of the definition included above.

Lesson Plans should include the following elements:

1.	Focus/Objective(s)     Objectives/Key Experiences (Preschool Program)
2.	Standard(s) Addressed
3.	Materials
4.	List Strategies
5.	Evaluation/Assessment
6.	Remediation/Homework

Teachers are encouraged to refer to the Colleton County Teacher Evaluation Instrument to review ADEPT Competent Performance Description for Short Range Planning (see attached).
