Colleton County School District

 Math and Science Fair

Date for the district fair: April 28-30

 The Fair's  Beginning

The Colleton County School District Math and Science Fair began  as the brainchild of Mrs. Roslyn Tracy, former associate superintendent for elementary education. Mrs. Tracy is a strong believer of hands-on approach to the teaching of math and science. The first fair was held in 1995 and was held in the cafeteria of the former Education Center on Bailey Street in Walterboro.

  The Fair Today

In 1996 the fair was moved to the National Guard Armory where it was held until 2002 when it was moved to the gym on the campus of U.S.C.-Salkahatchie. It has now been moved back to the National Guard Armory.   All elementary and middle school  grades will be participating in the 2007-2008 district fair
