Forest Hills Elementary serves first through fifth grade
students. We are currently a Choice School due to making
Adequate Yearly Progress for two consecutive years.
The Palmetto Assessment of State Standards (PASS) is given to our third,
fourth, and fifth grade students in the spring of each year. The
information received from this test is used to provide an
improvement rating and our adequate yearly progress on our
school report card issued by the State Department of Education.
Our second through fifth grade students take the Measures of
Academic Progress test (MAP) two times a year. This
state aligned computerized adaptive tests provide parents and
teachers with information on each student’s skills and concepts
they have learned. MAP diagnoses instructional needs and
monitors academic growth over time. The data received from MAP
can also be used to make decisions in the classrooms as to how
to meet the needs of all of our students.
All of the staff members at Forest Hills work hard to ensure
that our students are provided the best possible education
available. The Forest Hills
faculty, staff, and parents meet monthly for School Improvement,
Title I, and Parent Teacher Organization meetings. All of our
parents or community members are encouraged to become involved
in our school by attending our meetings or being a volunteer at
FHE. We all need to work together to make Forest Hills a great
place to learn!
