Each month on classroom visits I will be talking with the students about one character trait. The focus on character traits will encourage respect and appreciation for individual differences. Learning about character traits also helps to create responsible students who will become productive members of the community and the broader society. Character Trait for the month: Responsibility
Responsibility means doing what you are supposed to do, always doing your best, using self control and being self disciplined. Responsibility is accepting the results of your own actions, so decide for your actions to be positive ones. Act in a way that lifts up both others and you. The responsible person does his or her best on any task even homework. The responsible person completes the whole job, not part of it. Follow school and home rules quietly and responsibly. By following rules quietly and responsibly, these rules become life habits. ![]() Guidance Helps Students Grow to "Bear" Their BestThe guidance counselor is an important part your child’s growth and development. teachers work together to help
children. The guidance counselor

concerns. The guidance counselor works
with parents to help their children sail toward success.
